See's Candies giveaway

In my family, no occasion is complete without a box of See’s Candies. My parents go for the nuts and chews; my brother loves the molasses chips. My husband likes the ones with the brown sugar buttercream. I love the chocolates with the fruit flavored centers, or anything that contains marshmallow. See’s puts honey in their marshmallow, which makes it especially delicious. If you live on the west coast and haven’t had See’s yet, be sure to check out one of their stores – they give free samples! They also offer a candy fundraiser program.

See’s is giving a $25 gift certificate to one of my readers. The gift certificate can be redeemed online, so you don’t have to live near a retail store. However, this giveaway is limited to US residents.

Since it’s spring break time, let’s talk about vacations. Leave me a comment telling me your favorite vacation spot to be entered for a chance to win. A winner will be randomly drawn. The deadline for comments is Sunday, April 12th at 6:00 PM PST.

The See's candy give away is great.

Your blog is so inspiring. I didn't know what I was going to put in my Easter food column for the newspaper and then I remembered your asparagus mimosa with the radishes. I made an old standby in our family, Asparagus Goldenrod. Thanks so much for your inspiration.

I think my favorite vacation spot would have to be somewhere in Europe. I envision walking down cobblestone roads in small towns where you walk down narrow alleys with windows into peoples homes or courtyards open, window boxes full of overflowing plants, and the smell of amazing home cooked meals inviting you in...

Ah, favorite vacation spot has to be Italy - either in a beautiful city like Rome or in a lush green region like Umbria (a fave). I love visiting Milan and hitting all of the favorite restaurants we loved when we lived there.

Italy is not only a gorgeous, history-rich country, but one of the best places to eat in the world!

(my husband would have to be there, though).

My favorite vacation spot? Barcelona. I've only been once and long to go again. The food is outstanding, the architecture breathtaking (Gaudi, anyone?), and the people so friendly. It's Paris without the attitude. ;)

Delish! I'm interested in trying their sugar-free chocolates. My fav vacation spot so far was the beaches in California. There is something so wonderful about being near the ocean, smelling the salty air, and hearing the waves crash. I hope to vacation to the beach more often, but I'd love to visit the beach of San Juan Puerto Rico next, I heard it is one of the most beautiful.

Thanks!

Once when I was in high school my Godfather came for a visit and brought me a giant box of See's. I spent the next 3 days luxuriated in the act of lounging around popping chocolate bonbons from by very own giant box of them. Heaven.

My favorite place to go for vacation is the Amalfi Coast in Italy. I've only been once, but nothing in the world has compared to the beauty I saw there.

Jan said...

I love See's candy, but sadly haven't had any since my California days.

I have been lucky enough to travel quite extensively in my time, and whereever I have been has always, at the time, seemed like the perfect place to vacation. I don't recall ever having a bad vacation.

If I had to choose though, I would say my most memorable vacation was to Kenya, in east Africa. I'll never forget my first sighting of elephants in the wild. Magical.

I've never had See's candies. I don't know what my favorite vacation spot is. If I were still young I'd pick a ski resort, but I don't ski any more. If my kids were still at home, I'd pick Disney World, but they're gone. If my hubby were still working in the Caribbean, I'd pick St. Lucia, but he's retired. So I guess I'll have to say San Diego, only because my elder son lives there, even though I absolutely hate the town.
